simply blessed: Texan, Curls & Future Baby Funk

Before bed is when my husband (from here-on-out husband will be nicknamed Texan and I will be Curls - I'll explain the meaning at a later date) and I have the chance to talk the most! Mind you, we do communicate a lot during day, supper time, driving, etc., however I feel the bedroom is our safe place. It's where we both feel comfortable enough to open up and start to answer those "big questions".

Anyways, the point of this blog post was to share my excitement. Yesterday, before bed, we were talking about how soon we would both like to start a family. When we first got married we said, 3-4 years, like everyone who first gets married says! We haven't really talked about it since. Texan and I both agreed that later this year would be the perfect time to start a family! My heart jumped for joy! This year! We haven't been married that long, but I feel that we've both been ready for a while. Texan mentioned the fact that he would be 26 soon and that he would like to be a young father. He also mentioned the fact that we are at a good place in our marriage and our lives.

I believe that one of the greatest things you can do in this life is raise a family! I've never been one to go crazy over babies (although, I do think that they are cute). However, lately, I feel that God has been preparing me and Texan. A family of 3! If God decides to bless us with a little one later on this year, I know that we will both be forever thankful!

Even today, my stomach has butterflies and my heart is happy like a child's on Christmas morning! I'm so filled with excitement and joy!

Anyways, nothing is set in stone yet, but I know that the day is coming where Texan and I will say it's time! And I will be ready!
